I went to see a production of Romeo and Juliet at the American Repertory Theatre. Emerson students got to see it for free, so I saw a few familiar faces on the way there. Seemed like everyone had someone else to go with.
It was a pretty cool show. The stage was in the middle with the audience on either side, very warehouse style, with a catwalk going over part of the stage and ladders on either end. There was a lot of neat lighting and choreography, but the second half was in rehearsal light, because they didn't finish the all the tech work. I guess I can't complain. Of course, Mercutio was the best part, and, of course, the whole show got a little more tiring after he died.
There was supposed to be some kind of thing after the show for students, involving a talk-back with the cast, and pizza. Hungry as I was, I wasn't too fond of the idea of sitting around and being alone next to people who weren't. So, I went back to my dorm and had a Cup Noodles.
Is avoiding an awkward social situation worth sacrificing your nutrition?
Jet: Just wait a minute, just how much do you know about these boys?
Spike: Enough to get the picture.
Jet: Alright, then.
Spike: There's a fat bounty, plenty of info on the guy… So what are you afraid of?
Jet: You're avoiding the subject and you know it… What are you trying to hide from me?
Spike: … So how did you mess up your arm, huh, Jet?
Jet: What does that have to do with anything!
Spike: … Nothing at all.
Jet: Then when are you going to answer my question?
Spike: When you answer mine.

He was just all alone. He couldn't enjoy a game with anyone else.
